Company Training Day
On September 1, 2023, Whitney Tree Service dedicated a full day to advanced crew training at our shop. We brought in respected industry professionals Bear and Melissa LeVangie, owners of Women’s Tree Climbing Workshop, to work directly with our team on two critical areas of arboricultural safety: climbing gear inspection and aerial rescue.
The day included hands-on review of climbing equipment, inspection practices, and rescue techniques designed to help crews respond effectively in the event of an emergency aloft. Aerial rescue is one of the most important skills a professional tree crew can practice. In an emergency, there is no substitute for preparation, familiarity with equipment, and repeated hands-on training. Bringing experienced outside instructors to our location gave our crew the opportunity to learn from top professionals in the industry while practicing techniques with the equipment and systems we use every day.
For Whitney Tree Service, ongoing training is an important part of maintaining a professional, safety-focused tree care operation and continuing to improve the skills of our crew.
