Two seasonal positions available. We are seeking a tree climber/bucket operator and an experienced ground worker.
Monday-Friday 7:30am-5:00pm, We are a drug and alcohol free work place.

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of a general tree care crew providing high-quality tree care.
  • Perform specialized pruning and removals, install cabling and bracing.
  • Safely operate equipment including chainsaws, chippers, hand-tools and/or bucket truck
  • Provide excellent customer service

Qualifications:

  • Must have tree care crew experience
  • Must have solid tree ID skills
  • Must have experience with proper pruning practices including large shade trees and ornamentals
  • Must be an expert in safe chain saw/equipment operation
  • Must be able to climb with or without spurs
  • Valid Driver’s license, own transportation, clean driving record, and have the ability to drive trucks with trailers.

Ground Person – General Tree Work

 Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must pass company-driving test.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain first-aid certification.
  • Must be able to work outdoors under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
  • Must be able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
  • You must be healthy and drug and alcohol free

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads trucks with logs, brush and debris often weighing 25 lbs. or more, feeds brush into brush chipper.
  • Uses hand lines to lower limbs and equipment
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Carries, lays out, and stows materials, tools and equipment at work site.
  • Works from the ground using handsaws, poles saws.
  • Drives trucks or operates other equipment as assigned.
  • Services trucks and equipment. Keeps trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion. Reports the need for repairs to truck and equipment to crew leader.
  • Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area, staying in frequent voice communication with workers aloft.
  • Helps enforce job safety practices.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Must be able to tie and untie arborist knots

Climber/Trainee – General Tree Work

Qualifications

  • A total of three months experience working on a tree trimming crew as a ground person.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must have valid first aid certification.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of all knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal operations.
  • Must know and understand ANSI standards
  • Must be familiar with electrical hazards, appropriate operating procedure when in proximity to electrical conductors and aerial rescue techniques in the event of an emergency aloft.
  • Must successfully complete a performance review.
  • Must be able to work and maneuver at considerable heights under varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions.
  • Must possess physical strength and agility, good balance, good depth perception and the ability to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
  • Must be able to (or be trained to) climb and descend trees using rope and safety saddle; to learn, administer and implement emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue and all applicable first aid techniques.
  • Must be able to quickly remove him/herself from a potential danger area.
  • You must be healthy and drug and alcohol free

Responsibilities

  • Trims or removes trees by climbing or with the aid of an aerial lift device, but only under the direct supervision of a crew leader or qualified climber.
  • Loads and unloads trucks with logs, brush and debris often weighing 25 lbs. or more, lifts and feeds brush into brush chipper.
  • Works from the ground using hand saws, pole saws and pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gas-powered chain saws.
  • Drives trucks or operates other equipment as assigned.
  • Responsible for the inspection and proper working condition of all tools and equipment assigned to him or her.
  • Safeguards employees and public from hazards in and around the work area.
  • Helps enforce on-the-job safety practices.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

Pay will be discussed upon contact, but I assure you that it is more than adequate and above industry standard.
